Our text-based chat room is available around the clock for real-time discussion among TradeStation members.

Using Trader Chat, participants can hold text-based conversations in real-time over the Internet. As each Trader Chat participant enters a statement, the text appears on the screens of all of the other participants. In this way, strategy traders all over the world can join in a discussion as if they were in the same room.

Trader Chat is a great way to connect with other strategy traders using a Web browser and access to the Internet.

In a chat room you can:

	See who else is in the chat room.
	Use the Whisper feature to speak only to certain other participants. In a chat room, you can converse with a member separately, apart from the rest of the conversation. This is called whispering. The message that you send will come across the Trader Chat frame and reference "Whisper" on the recipient's computer.
	Use "emoticons" to express feelings and attitudes without having to type them out. You can animate your comments and questions through the use of emoticons (having your persona express an emotion). For example, if you choose the Laugh emoticon, the chat conversation frame displays "Bob laughs hysterically." Using the Emoticons list: To emote using the Emoticons list, double-click an emoticon in the Emoticons list underneath the message bar. Using the keyboard: To emote using a keyboard command, in the Message field, type a forward slash (/) and the emotion's name, then press Enter or Return. Uppercase or lowercase letters can be used.
